Drennan Series 7 Reel Range

It isn’t often that we get surprises from tackle companies, but Drennan have certainly surprised us with their Series 7 reels.

Designed to match their very popular Series 7 range and at a very wallet-friendly price point, these reels are big sellers.

There are four reels – a 30 sized Float reel, a 40 sized Feeder reel, a 45 Carp Feeder reel (ideal for larger commercial fishery carp) and a 50 Big Feeder reel (ideal for Carp but also the river angler targeting Barbel & Chub).

Each has some really well thought out features -

• All reels come with 3 spools in total, each designed to hold a minimum of 100mtr of an appropriate diameter line and the Big Feeder holds 250mtr.
• Each spool has an interchangeable plug in the centre of the spool release button, several being supplied and each marked with a breaking strain so that you need never forget what line is on which spool.
• There is even a recess on the spool for the knot where you tie the line in, so that it doesn’t stick up and interfere with the line lay.
